My
Story

My name is Yiran Jiang.

I am a interaction designer who is currently studying in CCA for junior year.

To be honest, the road to finding what I really want to do is very tortuous. I was born and raised in China and super passionate to art. However, due to the problems of the Chinese education system, it is very difficult to develop my ability freely, so I chose to move to Canada for high school, which is more conducive to my own free development.

Then I started to study Jewelry Design and applied to CCA as a Jewelry major student. In the process of learning jewelry design and metal art, I discovered the limitations for solving practical problems. I can express my dissatisfaction with real world problems through jewelry design, but there is no way to solve these problems, but Interaction Design can be applied in real life better. So, I transferred to interaction design major.  At the beginning I was not completely confident in this profession, but when I start to do it, I discovered my talent in this area. My ability of logical thinking and creativity help me learn fast and growth. My curiosity helps me know a very wide range of professional content. Also, my empathy has helped me further determine my desire to study this major. For many times of the present era, it is easy for me to feel the in adaptability of vulnerable groups for the rapid development of science and technology, especially the elderly.

After entering the major of Human-Computer Interaction Design, I devote myself to studying how to integrate more AI technology and artistry into human-computer interaction design projects. How to present the interaction between human and system in three-dimensional perspective and how to make the interaction more "beautiful" and efficient are the other questions I want to examine in the future.
