Intorduction
Before designing this app, I had an idea of how to design an app base on the existing apps in the world. And combining different existing app concepts to refine a new concept. In the design process, in order to make our prototype more realistic, we learned how to create the micro-interaction. Also, to improve the way of showing the digital prototype, I thought about how to create a prototype by filming a story that related to the using of the app. Technically, this project included the technique of doing rough animation and video editing. Conceptually, this project taught me a new way of finding a unique and creative concept by combining ideas from the existing world.
Concept Map

After refining the idea of Tinby, I think about how to use the delightful way to give users the best user experience. Tinby, which is an app aims to use a matching system to guide users to do the equivalent exchange. I keep the idea of swiping left and right from Tinder and let people post their products on this app. For the micro-interaction, I want to spend time on creating and refinding the best visual animation of swiping and matching. I would like to show the problem that Tinby could solve and how this app could benefit users. In this way, Tinby could help society reduce the e-waste in the world and the exchangers could get rid of their unwanted electronic devices and gain a win-win situation with each other.

ACT 1( FINDING QUESTIONS):
Buying a brand new mobile phone feels great, but when it comes to trading in your old phone, are you really getting the best deal?
And if you’re thinking of upgrading, why buy new when the latest model nearly costs you your rent?
ACT 2(SOLUTION):
Now there’s a new way to upgrade your personal electronics - while keeping your cash in your wallet.
With Tinby you won’t even have to spend a single dollar.
Tinby connects people that both have what the other needs. It’s the platform for exchanging used electronic goods.
And it couldn’t be simpler to use. You simply make an advert, and let us know what you’re looking for. Tinby then connects you with someone nearby, and makes the introduction for you.
And just like Tinder, you swipe left to say you’re not interested, or right to initiate a connection.
If you both swipe right then the connection is made, and Tinby helps you seal the deal!
ACT 3:
Tinby takes the hassle out of selling your used electronics, connecting you with other users through their products.
You’ll feel great about saving yourself money, and you’ll be helping reduce the amount of e-waste that ends up in toxic piles of trash.
So try Tinby, and see how

Final Reflection
The goal of the video is to show how could Tinby benefit users and how could Tinby work as an app. In this video, it included the problem, how could Tinby solve the problem and the final result of using Tinby. During the whole process of doing this assignment, I learned how to create a new app from creating my idea to doing the prototype of describing the story of this app. I learned how to find my new idea from the existing apps. Also, I learned how to create a better prototype to show how the app work by using different methods, like micro-interaction and filming. I learned how to write a script of a story and how to direct and edit the mini film. If I have more time, I would like to show the story of the video more clearly. Maybe included two vision of the user and let them swipe and match each other's products. In this way, I hope the story and concept could be more understandable for everyone.
